Management Team

Our uniquely experienced management team understands production facility engineering and the roofing industry, from raw materials and manufacturing, roofing distribution and the professional roofing contractor.

We are interested in establishing new recycling facilities in new markets, working with existing companies to expand current markets and exploring recycling business opportunities related to roofing distribution and manufacturing.

Our customers include recyclers who have unfinished material to process or finished goods for sale and roofing or paving manufacturers who demand recycled raw materials meeting rigid specifications of virgin raw materials.

Dan Hortonʉۢ Founding Partner Since 2009

Asphalt Roofing Manufacturing Industry executive 1996-2009

From his Midwestern roots as a roofing distributor branch manager and after 23 years in the building materials business, Dan left his executive position at IKO Industries, a roofing manufacturer, to establish Asphalt Shingle Recycling (ASR) Systems. In 2010, Dan's business plan attracted investors. Dan has led the ASR team from cradle to cradle recycling idea to processing facility design to successful working business model and is now creating a new standard in raw materials harvested from waste roofing shingles. He and his team have patented a method of 100% raw material recovery from shingles for re-use by roofing manufacturers, roofing related products, paving companies and the asphalt industry. ASR is the first company to successfully supply raw materials to roofing manufacturers for commercial reuse in residential roofing shingles and accessories. The prevailing key to ASR's success is persistence in reaching our goals and the relentless pursuit of excellence through continuous improvement.
